This year's edition of Next Generation: You! takes place in an even more exceptional context, following the invasion of Ukraine by Russia, on February 24, 2022, opening a new war in the heart of Europe, and bringing concrete consequences in the daily lives of Europeans.
NEXT Generation: You!
Like last year, the 2nd edition of Next Generation: You! intends to be another opportunity to discuss and reflect on the European Union (EU), giving an active voice to young Portuguese university students.
With six prestigious Portuguese universities [Lisbon, Minho, Beira Interior, Aveiro, Coimbra, Évora], as well as the support of the Representation of the European Commission in Portugal, we propose, in this 2nd edition, to reflect on the future of the EU, from six European Commission priorities for 2019-2024. This year's edition of Next Generation: You! takes place in an even more exceptional context, following the invasion of Ukraine by Russia, on February 24, 2022, opening a new war in the heart of Europe, and bringing concrete consequences in the daily lives of Europeans, particularly the energy crisis and inflation, and adding greater uncertainty and the need for resilience to the construction of the European project.
Over four months, between March and June 2023, six conferences will be held, one per participating university, around which a workshop will be held for students of the 1st training cycle (Licenciatura). what Europeans want. The youngest, in particular, are the main recipients of this construction, so participation is vital. Don't forget, the next generation is YOU!
