FEUC Academic Awards 2025
The Faculty of Economics of the University of Coimbra (FEUC) announced the winners of its main academic awards for 2025, recognizing the merit of students and researchers whose careers have distinguished themselves through scientific rigor, innovation, and social impact.
The Professor Ana Maria Rodrigues Award, intended to reward the best student in the Master's program in Accounting and Finance, was given to Paulo Rafael Janeiro Banaco, whose academic performance was considered exemplary.
In the area of doctoral research, the Engineer António de Almeida Foundation Award distinguished Raimundo Avilton Meneses Júnior, in recognition of the scientific quality of his thesis and the relevance of his contribution to the field of Economic Sciences.
The Professor Pedro Nogueira Ramos Award was granted to researcher Ernesto Nieto-Carillo, whose work stood out for its analytical consistency, high methodological quality, and practical application to the Portuguese economic reality.
The awarding of these prizes is part of FEUC's policy of valuing academic and scientific excellence, simultaneously honoring the academic and institutional figures who give their names to these distinctions.
The awards ceremony took place as part of the institutional celebrations of the academic year, bringing together professors, researchers, students, and representatives of the sponsoring institutions.
