Workshops on the Preservation of Scientific Heritage: Study of Materials and Assessment of Conservation State
Workshops on “Preservation of Scientific Heritage: Study of Materials and Assessment of Conservation State” were held at the Observatory, focusing on scientific metal instruments as well as books, drawings, and paper-based cartography. This initiative was part of the program of the 8th Iberian Forum on Museological Studies – 2024, which will take place in Coimbra on November 7–8, and is organized in part by the Observatory.
The first workshop was led by Isabel Tissot and Marta Manso (LIBPhys and VICARTE), along with Francisco Gil (REQUIMTE) and Timur Nikitin (CQC). The second workshop was conducted by Elsa Girão (BGUC) and Ruth Honeybone (EUL), again with the participation of Francisco Gil (REQUIMTE) and Timur Nikitin (CQC).
