CNEA - National Commission for Atomic Energy (Argentina)

The Division of Chemistry of Environmental Remediation,  National Atomic Energy Commission (DQRA-CNEA). CNEA is an autonomous organization that depends on the Ministry of Federal Planning, Public Investment and Services, through the Energy Department. CNEA´s activity is centred mainly on nuclear aspects but it covers other R&D fields, including environmental activities. Some of these activities are carried out by the Chemistry Management, Department of Environmental Chemistry, to which the Division of Chemistry of Environmental Remediation, (DQRA) belongs. DQRA work on innovative methodologies for water treatment such as Advanced Oxidation/Reduction Technologies (AQRTS), especially heterogeneous photocatalysis, photo-fenton and zerovalent iron technologies, focusing organic and inorganic pollutants. The group is considered now a national and international reference on the subject.
