Title: EnergyBOR - Behavioural issues in decision making on energy efficiency
Principal investigator: Marta Lopes
Research team: Humberto Jorge, Hermano Bernardo
Dates start/end: 10-2016 / 03-2018
Synopsis
The behavioural dimension is presently recognised as a key factor in promoting end-use energy efficiency. However, tackling behaviours is a complex and challenging task and integrative research is required. This project aims to explore behavioural issues in decision making on energy efficiency through the use of behavioural operational research techniques, particularly in a residential and services setting. The main task is focused on assessing and establishing the most effective way of communicating energy models to end-users and to informal energy managers, to promote a real comprehension of energy efficiency issues.
