From Iran to Portugal, in the quest for new knowledge in the area of sustainability

Shiva Saadatian came from Iran to Portugal in 2012, planning to stay only to complete her Master's degree at the University of Coimbra. However, as time went by, she made new friends, her Master’s led to her PhD, and ten years later she is still here. She is currently part of the team at the Institute for Interdisciplinary Research of the University of Coimbra (III-UC), and the science manager of the UC strategic area for Climate, Energy and Mobility.
