Action plan that reflects the Institution's strategy to promote the integration of a holistic perspective on sustainable development, as advocated in the whole-school approach, and to strengthen the integration of these concerns into the essential functions of university activity – learning and teaching, research, organisational governance, culture and operations, and external leadership – aligning them with national and international best practices and targets.

This comprehensive guide presents a series of suggestions and individual actions that can be adopted in everyday life and contribute to the five pillars of the 2030 Agenda — People, Planet, Prosperity, Peace, and Partnerships. It is a joint effort by the University of Coimbra’s, through its Office for Sustainable Development, and the organisation Solve – Engineering Consulting, within the context of the UCarbon project, carried out in partnership with the Ecological Group and the Informatics Centre of the Coimbra Students’ Union (Associação Académica de Coimbra).
