UC for All is an integrated programme to promote equal opportunities and equity in access to and attendance at UC.
On the UC Volunteering platform you can find various volunteering opportunities - at the UC and at Partner Institutions - as well as other initiatives, such as blood collections or items needed by certain groups, and a volunteering course is also available.
The General Library is home to the UC Inclusive Library with equipment aimed at people with visual impairments and people with neuromotor difficulties.
The UC has been recognised by the UNAI as an example in the reception and integration of refugee students, and is pointed out as a model of a Portuguese university in the reception and treatment of students in emergency situations for humanitarian reasons. The article highlights the initiatives developed to facilitate the integration of refugee students, such as the language courses taught at the Faculty of Arts and Humanities, the possibility of attending a preparatory Year Zero of the first cycle of studies, the psychological and academic support provided by the Social Action Services and all the work carried out by the International Relations Division - including the identification of students who volunteer to support the integration of their peers.
The UC provides an electronic platform for submitting complaints, the "Whistleblowing Channel" platform, where it is also possible for the complainant to access information on the status of the complaint, simply by entering the code obtained when submitting it on the same platform.
The UC Academy for the Encounter of Cultures and Religions was created with the aim of promoting the study of the history of the world's different cultures and religious traditions, stimulating cultural and inter-religious dialogue.
