| The iconic Coimbra electric mini-buses, which belong to the "Ecovia" project, will include the University of Coimbra in their routes from the 1st of June, improving students, teachers and staff mobility conditions. The goal is also to release the old University area from traffic. With a monthly price of ten euros for any member of the UC Community, June and July passes for using the "Ecovia" (access to the peripheral car park plus transport in an electric bus) "may be picked up at the UC Tourism Shop, at the College of Jesus in Campus I, on the 28th and 31st May from 2pm to 4pm". | |
| Application to Financial support for Scienfic Culture Promotion 2021: as part of its mission to promote and enhance culture and research and disseminate knowledge, the University of Coimbra launches the 2nd edition of the Initiative for the Promotion of Scientific Culture 2021 aimed at the entire scientific community of the University of Coimbra. | UC scientists have developed a unified management platform for different sensors of the Internet of Things. At first, the Internet of Things (IoT) depended essentially on real (physical) sensors, but nowadays it uses data from other types of sensors, namely virtual and social, which makes management extremely complex. |
| The European Commission and Europa Nostra have announced the 2021 winners of the European Heritage Awards / Europa Nostra Awards, the EU prize for cultural heritage funded by the Creative Europe programme. This year, one of the winners was the “Grupo de Etnografia e Folclore da Academia de Coimbra – GEFAC”. Congratulations! You may find the list of the award winners here. | |
