University of Coimbra now has the brand new campus of the Institute of
Astrophysics and Space Sciences (IA), at the Geophysical and Astronomical
Observatory of the University of Coimbra (Faculty of Sciences and Technology).
IA is a reference centre for research in astronomy and space sciences. | |
| European Researchers' Night (NEI) looking for the best activities for 2021! Scheduled for the 24th of September, NEI's theme is SCICLI - SCIENCE FOR CLIMATE | SCIENCE FOR THE CLIMATE. Proposals for activities should be submitted through an online form, until the 6th of August, 5pm. | |
| Ageing@Coimbra joins the Portuguese Network for Healthy and Active Ageing - RePEnSA. The Ageing@Coimbra consortium, coordinated by João Malva, will join the Network, together with the centres Porto4Ageing, Lisbon Active Healthy Ageing (AHA) and Algarve Active Ageing. | |
Lecture marks the end of Carlos Fiolhais' teaching career. On Monday, at 2.30pm, the Rectory Auditorium will host the lecture "History of Science at the University of Coimbra", by the UC famous Physicist. The event will be broadcast live. | |
| Business ideas competition "Born from Knowledge (BfK) Ideas" with applications open until the 23rd of July. There are four categories: Natural Resources, Environment, Energy and Sustainable Mobility; Artificial Intelligence and Advanced Production Technologies; Health and Well-being; Tourism, Cultural and Creative Industries. |
