	Today we celebrate UN World Quality Day. This year, the main theme is "Sustainability: improving our products, people and planet". Quality management is one of the principles of governance present in the Statutes of the UC and one of the pillars of our Strategic Plan.
A study published in “Science” unveils a crucial mechanism in brain development. The finding is the result of more than a decade of research by Rodrigo Cunha, co-author of the scientific article and professor at the Faculty of Medicine of the UC.
	UC scientists use bacteria as raw material suppliers for 4D printing. Led by Ana Paula Piedade, researcher and professor at the Faculty of Sciences and Technology of the University of Coimbra, the project leads the way to several uses, from medicine to transportation and textile industry.
Registrations for the team sports University of Coimbra Games (JUC) end on the 19th November. JUC competitions will start next week with several team sports for UC community members.
	5th Edition of Bluepharma \| University of Coimbra Innovation Award with applications open from January 12th to March 7th 2022. The award is granted every 2 years to an innovative research project in the Health Sciences area.
Anozero - Coimbra Biennial of Contemporary Art is back for its 4th edition. With the title "Meia-Noite" (Midnight) and curated by Elfi Turpin and Filipa Oliveira, the event will take place in two different moments during 2021 and 2022.
