| 250 trees to celebrate the 250th anniversary of Coimbra University Press. The initiative is the first step of the UC Press commitment to carbon neutrality by planting every year the number of trees corresponding to the paper used in the books it publishes. Until the end of this year 250 trees will be planted in the Botanical Garden of the UC. | |

| UC scientists discover the fossil of a new plant species. A scientific paper published in the journal “Review of Palaeobotany and Palynology” describes a new species of conifer from the Lower Cretaceous of Portugal, belonging to the family Cheirolepidiaceae. | |
| The 4th EC2U (European Campus of City-Universities) Forum will take place on 4-7 April and will be hosted by the University of Pavia. Every six months, the Alliance organises the EC2U Forum to gather students, staff, citizens, local and regional authorities to foster open dialogue on pressing issues in society and to share good practices. | |
| TAGV hosts "Abril Dança em Coimbra 2022". The contemporary dance Festival starts on the 1st of April and will present about a dozen shows. The festival will also promote films and documentary screenings, as well as workshops, masterclasses and talks with several artists. |
