	UC researchers use Artificial Intelligence to boost the development of new drugs for cancer. A research team of the University of Coimbra (UC) has created an innovative computational model that may enable faster and less expensive development of new drugs to be used in cancer treatment, focused on the biological context of the disease.
The winners of the 2022 World Cultural Council awards will be announced next Tuesday. The session, in which the programme of the event will also be presented, will take place in the Senate Hall, at 11am, and will be broadcast at uc.pt/emdireto.
	"Horizonte" (Horizon) is the theme of the 25th UC Cultural Week, which falls at the beginning of the celebrations of the tenth anniversary of the classification of the University of Coimbra: Alta e Sofia as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
With the beginning of enrolments, the UC welcomes academic year 2022/23. Throughout the week, about two thousand students start their journey at the University of Coimbra.
	The University of Coimbra participates in the 32nd Annual Conference and Exhibition of the European Association for International Education (EAIE), in Barcelona, between the 13th and the 16th of September, under the initiative “Study and Research in Portugal”.
The University of Coimbra established an agreement for a new campus in Figueira da Foz. The agreement includes the spaces that will host the university campus, as well as the activities to be carried out there.
