| Study published in “Nature” shows that global hotspots for soil nature conservation are poorly protected. The research work identifies the regions of the world that should have the highest priority for soil nature conservation, which are located in the tropics, Asia, North America and Europe. |  |
 | Scientists of the University of Coimbra study new therapeutic approaches for the treatment of traumatic brain injury. The research aims to find new answers to combat the side effects of this trauma, as well as to prevent the damage caused by a trauma, such as behavioural and brain changes. |

 | Ageing@Coimbra consortium: a European Active and Healthy Ageing Reference Site. The European Reference Sites Collaborative Network and the European Commission renewed the status of Reference Site of the Ageing@Coimbra consortium, with the top classification of 4 stars. |
