suggests a paradigm shift in the treatment of staph infections. The study,
published in the scientific journal Nature Communications, reveals that the Staphylococcus
aureus (S. aureus) bacterium has a predominant
intracellular lifestyle, which may justify changing the clinical criteria for

| Domingos Xavier Viegas, full professor at the Faculty of Sciences and Technology of the University of Coimbra (FCTUC) has received the "Ember Award for Excellence in Wildland Fire Science", from the International Association of Wildland Fire (IAWF), the first European scientist to ever receive this award. |  |
