	“Being the Rector of the University of Coimbra is an enormous challenge, but at the same time an immense honour”. Amílcar Falcão was invested as Rector of the UC for the 2023-207 term.
Meet the new rectoral team of the University of Coimbra. Rector Amílcar Falcão will count on the support of six vice-rectors and five pro-rectors.
	Dedication to causes such as health and scientific research highlighted in the celebration of the University Day. The UC Prize 2023 was awarded to Leonor Beleza during the UC 733rd anniversary ceremony.
The 25th Cultural Week of the UC (SCUC) celebrates material and immaterial heritage. Under the theme "Horizon", SCUC brings to the city over 40 cultural events until the 15th of March. Check the full programme.
	UC Project receives around 400,000 euros to promote the sustainable cultivation of mushrooms through the recovery of rice straw and other national agricultural and forest residues.
Brain Awareness Week back to the University of Coimbra. The initiative aims to raise awareness of scientific breakthroughs and findings in the field of neurosciences, as well as to promote brain health literacy.
	EIT Health Bootcamps: applications open until the 20th of March. The initiative, organised in the scope of the European EIT Health network, seeks business ideas for new healthcare products in R&D.
