| Francisco Louçã will be at the Faculty of Arts and Humanities today to mark the end of the academic year. At 2:30 pm he will conduct the conference "Crossing the border: Europe and the democratic challenge." On the day that FLUC celebrates 105 years, there will be several activities, including the delivery of awards to the best students. |
| Also today at 6 pm takes place the opening of the exhibition "Inhabiting Portugal 2012-14"|“Habitar Portugal 2012-14” at the Circle of Fine Arts of Coimbra (Círculo de Artes Plásticas de Coimbra/Jardim da Sereia). The inauguration will be followed by the debate "Inhabiting Portugal: Coimbra - a school on the table? | Habitar Portugal : Coimbra – uma Escola em cima da mesa?" at 7 pm, with the presence of the architects Jorge Figueira, João Mendes Ribeiro, Pedro Baía and Luis Miguel Correia. |
| On May 23, the Room of S. Pedro of the UC General Library will host the colloquium "40 years of the Constitution and of the Autonomy of Regional Policies of the Azores and Madeira"|(40 anos da Constituição e das Autonomias Políticas Regionais dos Açores e da Madeira). The event will have as guests Alberto João Jardim, former President of the Regional Government of Madeira, Mota Amaral, former Chairman of the Parliament and of the Regional Government of the Azorest, and constitutionalists Jorge Miranda and Vital Moreira. |
| The project Há Baixa? , created by students of Architecture of the UC, will host the seminar “Reflexões para a cidade - A Questão da Baixa de Coimbra”, which will take place on May 25 at 2:30 pm, at Salão Brazil. |
| After six months of renovation works, the AAC Study Room is open again 24/7. |
| On Saturday celebrate the Night of the Museums and stop by the UC Science Museum! Starting at 8 pm you may visit exhibitions, watch a film or participate in astronomical observations, among other activities. |
| This weekend António Guterres will be at the UC: on Saturday at 5 pm, at FEUC, for the conference "The international situation and forced movements of population"|A situação internacional e os movimentos forçados de população, and on Sunday to receive the Honoris Causa Degree at 10.30 am, at Sala dos Capelos. Both events will be broadcast live on uc.pt. |
| The programme "Family hugs the UC"| “A Família Abraça a UC” returns on 5 June. During an afternoon the UC opens its doors and offers families several recreational activities that will let them know more about the history of Portugal and the University. Registrations will take place until June 2, find out more here. |
