The Faculty of Psychology and Education Science of the UC will host tomorrow the international seminar "Human Rights and training in Social Work: Challenges and Perspectives". Some of the themes include Europe and its new issues on Human rights, their potential and limits nowadays, and research on Social Work and Human Rights.

The deadline for applications to the 2016 Adriano Lucas Journalism Award has been extended until the 30th October. The author of the winning work will receive a prize money of EUR 1,500 and will have his/her work published in the newspaper Diário de Coimbra. 

Another edition of the French Film Festival has already started. Until next Sunday, ten films will be screened at TAGV. Don't miss it!

On the 26th October, at 8 pm, the Freshmen Blessing ceremony will take place at Sé Nova (Cathedral).

On the 27th October, the Social Services of the UC will host the dinner / debate: "The Eternal Pursuit of Happiness." The session will take place at Centro Cultural D. Dinis and will be attended by Manuela Grazina, Julio Machado Vaz and Fernando Catarino. The debate moderator will be Father Paulo Simões.

Between the 27th and 29th October the Faculty of Law of the UC will host the "6th International Arbitration Meeting of Coimbra". This is the most relevant international conference on Law Arbitration taking place in Portugal for already 6 years in a row.
