The University of Coimbra is organising a series of events with the theme “East Timor: images and words that changed the world" to mark the 25 years of the Santa Cruz massacre, in East Timor and the 20 years of the Nobel Peace Prize awarded to Ximenes Belo and José Ramos-Horta. Check the full schedule here.

CES researcher Silvia Rodriguez Maeso has receveid a 1.9 million euros Consolidator Grant to be used on a project about antiracism. 

Amanhã, pelas 12 horas, não perca a missa em honra da Imaculada Conceição, Padroeira da UC. A cerimónia decorre, como habitualmente, na Capela de São Miguel da Universidade de Coimbra.

Tomorrow, at noon, do not miss the Mass in honour of the Immaculate Conception, Patron of the UC. The ceremony takes place, as usual, at St. Michael's Chapel of the University of Coimbra.

Registrations for the 6th edition of the Encontro de Instituições e Unidades de e-Learning do Ensino Superior (Meeting of Institutions and e-Learning Units of Higher Education) are open until 8 December. The event will take place on 16 December at the Laginha Auditorium, Polo II.


On December 14, at 2:30 p.m., the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering receives the Green Business Week 2017 Presentation Session. More information here.

On 15 December, at 9 pm, the Solidarity Concert by the former Orpheon members will be held in the Great Hall of Acts, with the special participation of the tenor Nuno Silva. The event closes the commemorations of the 50th anniversary of SASUC and the revenue reverts in full to the Solidarity Fund.


The Chapel Choir of the University of Coimbra invites current or former students and staff, teachers and researchers for a singing experience: to prepare for the Celebration of the Foundation of the University of Coimbra on March 1st. More information here.
