| The third edition of the UC Job Fair takes place on the 27th and 28th of April, at D. Dinis Square (Pólo I) and the Rectory Auditorium, with several activities that aim to help students find their path after graduation. It is the Job Fair with the largest participation of industry in the country. |
| The University of Coimbra has collaborated in the largest world study on obesity, revealing that one in each ten men and one in each seven women worldwide are obese. Cristina Padez, faculty member and researcher in the area of Health Anthropology of the Faculty of Sciences and Technology of the UC has cooperated in this study, conducted by Imperial College London, involving around 20 million adults from 186 countries. |
| The 4th edition of BIG smart cities is here. A contest involving technology-based business ideas which improve the daily life of those who live, work or visit a city. The event BIG city challenges will take place in Coimbra on the 21st of April at Instituto Pedro Nunes. The winning idea gets EUR 10,000.00, six months of Working Space at Vodafone Power Lab and a trip Trip to one of Ericsson's innovation centres in Europe. |
| Our suggestion for this evening is the event “E Pur Si Muove”, by Francisco Camacho. A Dance performance taking place at 9:30pm at TAGV, within the programme of “April dances in Coimbra”, a co-production by TAGV and St. Francis Convent. |
| Tomorrow, at 6 pm don’t miss the Opening of the exhibition “Motel Coimbra: Bíblias de Cabeceira”, at the College of Arts Gallery. This exhibition gathers artistic words produced in the framework of the Doctoral Programme in Contemporary Art with the focus on books/objects. |
