| A study conducted at the University of Coimbra has revealed a new strategy to combat obesity and type 2 diabetes. The research was recently awarded the National Diabetology Prize (EUR 20.000), by the Portuguese Society of Diabetology. |
| Do you already have the dress for the Gala Ball of Queima das Fitas? If you don't, SASUC can give you a hand. You can schedule your intial fitting at the Sewing Space. There is another news: at that same space you can have the lapels of your academic dress sewed on. |
| Speaking of Queima das Fitas, the Bank of Academic dresses of SASUC is already fully active. Students with finantial problems can now order their academic dress and live the students festival in full. Don't forget that if you still have your academic dress but no longer use it you can donate it. |
| Today we suggest a visit to the UC Botanical Garden at 6 pm for another session of the cycle “Livros no Jardim de Plantas”. This week there is a talk about "The Malay Archipelago", by Alfred Russel Wallace. |
Enjoy the long weekend and visit the exhibition "April 25 in Coimbra," which inaugurates at the College of Grace on Freedom Day, at 9 am. The exhibition that gathers Didier Rougier photographs of documents from the collection of the Documentation Centre April 25. The very next day marks the centenary of the death of Mario de Sá Carneiro. On April 26 and 27 you may attend the various initiatives that will take place in Coimbra, celebrating the work of the writer. |
