A team of researchers of the Faculty of Medicine, University of Coimbra wants to show why people with fibromyalgia suffer from depression. The study, recently distinguished in Madrid at  the 24th European Congress of Psychiatry, involved a sample of 103 women diagnosed with fibromyalgia, aged between 18 and 65.
Have you already visited the UC Job Fair? If you haven't, you still have today to do it. With the participation of around 100 companies, the Fair offers several activities that aim at helping students find their path after graduation.
Tomáš Halík will be at St Michael’s Chapel, on  May 3rd, where he will be conducting the lecture “Afternoon of Christianity”. The Czech Priest, known for the dialogue between believers and nonbelievers and who was awarded the Templeton Prize, will visit our country with an agenda that includes the celebration of a Mass, the launch of a book and three conferences.

The Faculty of Economics of the UC celebrates The First Day of FEUC Alumni with the conference “30 years of Portugal in the EU”, on  May 7th, at 10:30 am, at the FEUC Auditorium.

Who are we? What do we do? What do we study? What is it like to work in a 700-year-old University? These are the premises launched to the university community through the project "“Um livro: O princípio nasce da relação” | “A book: The principle is born from the relationship." This work gathers contributions from teachers and researchers of each UC faculty. Anyone interested can still participate.
Applications to the programme RedEmprendia | Solutions Bluepharma are open until May 31st. The ideas presented should answer the following challenges: development of a long-acting injectable formulation or the development of a formulation for intranasal administration.
The BiblioAlimentaria intitiative conducts one of its last talks tomorrow, addressing Portuguese food and gastronomy. “A UC No Cardápio Da De 1902: Uma História Por Contar”  is the tite of the session, starting at 6 pm at the General Library (St. Peter’s Room). You can visit the documental exhibition until May 1st.
Tomorrow is World Dance Day and TAGV marks the date with the dance show “Sem Chão Sem Fim” by choreographer Amélia Bentes. The show takes place at 9:30 pm and is another event within the initiative “April dances in Coimbra”
