2020 brings a cultural programme for everyone at the UC General Library. There are more than 30 events until the end of the year, based on “four essential nuclei” that make up the cultural and training programme of the General Library of the University of Coimbra (BGUC) for 2020. “Promote books and reading among young people, invest in actions to raise environmental awareness, promote gatherings, conferences and training activities in the area of libraries and strengthen links with China and the Far East ”, are the pillars on which BGUC's cultural and training program is based in 2020, revealed the director of BGUC, João Gouveia Monteiro. A multidisciplinary team of researchers from the Citizenship and Social Intervention Observatory at the Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences of the University of Coimbra (FPCEUC), and from i9 Social - Centre for Social Innovation, is developing an innovative tool for measuring the benefits of social projects, based on the Theory of Change. In this sense, the team is on the ground to monitor in real context six social innovation projects from different areas, from health and inclusion to social protection and combating school dropout, in the Coimbra region.
