The University of Coimbra is the Portuguese institution that received the most funding from the Horizon 2020 programme. According to data recently released by the European Commission, the University of Coimbra leads the list of Portuguese institutions with the most funding obtained between 2014 and 2020, thanks to the 31.6 million euros received by a total of 62 projects.

The University of Coimbra (UC) is a founding member of the Portuguese Pact for Plastic, a collaborative and innovation platform that brings together 50 organizations (Government, the different agents in the plastic value chain, the Academy and NGOs) united by a vision of a circular economy for plastics in Portugal, with the purpose that they never become waste.

Applications to the StarShip Fellowship programme are open until the 9th February.
