Next academic year (2018/2019) the UC will offer a new course in Health Management and Administration, which aims to create new and specific competences in the scope of Management and Administration of Health Organizations. The new course, which brings together the Faculties of Economics, Pharmacy and Medicine, will be presented tomorrow, at 2.30 pm, at the Faculty of Medicine (Campus III).

Social responsibility in higher education institutions will be under debate at the University of Coimbra. The session will take place on May 22, at 11 am, at the Science Museum. At the same time the Green Paper on Social Responsibility and Higher Education Institutions will be presented, resulting from the work carried out by the ORSIES - Social Responsibility Observatory of Higher Education Institutions. The Five Stars @ UC futsal tournament will take place from 14 to 18 May, involving local companies which will participate with their teams. Registrations are open to students, teachers, researchers and technicians. The tournament final, to be held on 18 May will have the award of the QS Stars certificate to the University of Coimbra. The closing lecture of the academic year of the Faculty of Arts and Humanities of the UC will be in charge of choreographer Madalena Victorino, winner of the University of Coimbra 2017 Award. The lecture will be held on May 17 at 11:00 am and will have as theme " A vida morde, é carnívora. A vida é como uma dentada. "

On the following day Guilherme de Oliveira Martins will be at FLUC, with the conference "Um perfil capaz de valorizar o desenvolvimento humano", in the framework of the cycle  "Globalization and Development" cycle. The event starts at 11 am in Amphitheatre III.

On May 22nd, the General Library of UC hosts the first workshop promoted by the interdisciplinary doctoral program in Food Heritage: Cultures and Identities, of the Faculty of Arts and Humanities of the University of Coimbra, with the title "Patrimónios Alimentares: Investigação Aplicada e Transferência de Conhecimento". The Academic Cookie will be presented in this session, a pastry product with the UC brand. Registrations are open until May 16.

On June 5 the Auditorium of the Rectory of the University of Coimbra will host the roundtable “O potencial da mobilidade Erasmus para docentes – Histórias contadas e experiências partilhadas”. The main objective of the initiative is to promote the mobility of teachers in the framework of the Erasmus + programme and its recognition. Entrance is free but with mandatory registration.
