From the 22nd to the 24th of June we celebrate the fifth anniversary of the inscription of the University of Coimbra, Alta and Sofia in the list of UNESCO World Heritage with multiple events in different spaces of the city. Get to know the full programme of "Sons da Cidade" here.

Carlota Simões, Director of the Science Museum of the UC, was awarded the Medal of Honour of the Portuguese Authors Society (SPA). The prize recognizes "the activity of the institution which she manages and the stimulus that it represents for the national community, especially in the museological and scientific fiedl".

Tomorrow, at 6:00 p.m., the rehearsal room of the Tuna Académica da Universidade de Coimbra (TAUC) hosts the launching ceremony of the commemorative postcard and stamp of TAUC's 130th anniversary. The session features a small performance of the TAUC metal musical group in its first public presentation.

Next Sunday, at 10:30 a.m., the Hall of the Great Acts of the University of Coimbra receives the academic insignia ceremony conferred to several Doctors of the Faculty of Law (FDUC). 

"Coimbra a Brincar" will take place on the 27th and 28th May at Parque Verde and in other places of the city. On the 27th the Science Museum will offer the activity “Espelho meu, espelho meu” (previous registration here). The debate “À volta da BrinCadeira”  will be held on the 28th May at 6:00 p.m., at Café Santa Cruz. 

The pedagogical survey about the second semester of academic year 2017/2018 is open until the 30th May. The survey is anonymous and aimed at students. It is available at Inforestudante in order to help identify strengths and weaknesses.

Registrations for the Summer University of the UC (2-7 July) are open until the 31st May.
