The European Universities Games are almost over but there is still a lot to watch. The University of Coimbra was awarded the best University Cup in Rowing, with three gold medals, two silver medals and one bronze medals. The UC is the University with the largest number of medals in EUG2018: Afonso and Dinis Costa, roqing LM2x, Francisca Laia and David Varela rowing K1 500m and Laia again in female rowing K1 200m; Catarina Costa in Judo, David Varela,  K1 100m,  Bruno Afonso, C1 100 metros, Pedro Mateus and João Gomes  LM2-,  Hugo Figueiras and Sara Sotero, K2 200m. EUG 2018 comes to an end next Saturday, July 28. The closing ceremony will start at 9:00 pm in the Main Field of the University Stadium of Coimbra. Join us and come and say goodbye to this edition of the Games, the first that took place in Coimbra.

summer has already arrived and there are numerour activities for kids and adults, all over the city, such as the programme of night visits to the University of Coimbra, known as "UC by Night". Until 8 September, always on Saturdays at 9:15 pm, the University of Coimbra opens its doors to the public for a different visit. Also in the Science Museum of the UC, in the scope of the project Live Science in the Summer, the month of August promises to be full of activities related to water and marine biodiversity.

The videomapping shows gatherered around 17,000 people during last week. Thank you all for your presence!
