In order to promote sports practice in the academic community, JUC (Coimbra Univesity Games) are about to beging and include four leagues: Academic League, for students; Liga Minerva, for teachers, non-teaching staff and post-doc researchers; Liga Alumni, for former students and Liga 2I's for UC partner companies  in the area of Research and Innovation. Registration is free and runs until 15 November.

A researcher of the Centre for Functional Ecology of the Faculty of Sciences and Technology of the University of Coimbra has developed a simple method which uses bacteria and fungi, either alone or combined, to increase at the same time plant resilience to climate change and the use of agrochemicals.

CEIS20 celebrates its 20th anniversary. To mark the date, the Centre offers a commemorative cycle, from 2 to 15 November, with an international congress (8 and 9 November.)

On November 9 and 10 Dom Dinis Cultural Centre hosts the 18th edition of the Basic Training Course, which aims to promote psychological and emotional support among people who share the same kind of experiences.

On 6 November  the University of Coimbra hosts the workshop "Protection and appreciation of Research Results for Doctoral Students and Post-Docs", at Casa Costa Alemán (Polo II). Registrations are open until 5 November.

The training and mentoring sessions of the CEBT Ibérico 2018 - Entrepreneurial Skills of Technological Basis start in November, a programme that combines technology, entrepreneurship, mentoring and investment. Course attendance is free and enrollment ends on 12 November.

The Agency for Assessment and Accreditation of Higher Education (A3ES) has opened online applications for students interested in participating in the External Evaluation Committees in the 2nd year of the second cycle 2018-2023 accreditation / evaluation. Registrations are open until 30 November.
