The plants adopted by students of the University of Coimbra in the scope of the UC.Plantas programme will have a new home in February. The 500 small trees of eight species that have been taken care of by UC students during the last academic year are now going to be repotted in the garden of the Palace of Saint Marcos after the damage caused by a wildfire and storm Leslie. A multidisciplinary team of the Faculties of Science and Technology and Medicine has developed a technology that represents a breakthrough in oral health. Biolocker will represent a paradigm shift in oral hygiene, preventing the early formation of bacterial plaque, without antimicrobial effects, unlike classic oral care solutions. The University of Coimbra is one of the founding entities of the International Alliance of Twin Cities Universities with Guangzhou. Tomorrow, the University of Coimbra will sign a protocol of technical and scientific cooperation with Talkdesk, a Portuguese technology platform which is a "unicorn" company (a startup with a value exceeding one billion dollars). This partnership may create over a hundred jobs. On 18 December at 2:30 pm, Full Professor Fernanda Cravidão will conduct her last lesson at the Faculty of Arts and Humanities (Anf. II - 4th floor). One third of the children who live in Coimbra and Lousã do not practice any extracurricular sport, according to a study by the Faculty of Sciences and Technology of the University of Coimbra published in the American Journal of Human Biology.
