Micaela Antunes obtained a degree in Economics from the Faculty of Economics of the University of Coimbra (FEUC) in 2002 and a Ph.D. degree in Economics by the University of Coimbra in 2011. She is currently an Associate Professor at the the Faculty of Economics of the University of Coimbra. She is a researcher at the CeBER R&D center. Her publications include several articles in peer-reviewed international journals like Social Science & Medicine, Energy Economics, Utilities Policy and Health Policy, among others. She has five chapters in books. Her cooperation with external entities includes the Interamerican Development Bank, eBUPi, ADENE and SRC-OM.
