A Revista Portuguesa de História foi criada em 1941, no âmbito do Instituto António de Vasconcelos, designado, desde 1975, Instituto de História Económica e Social. Está empenhada na divulgação dos resultados da investigação histórica nas áreas da História Portuguesa e Mundial, sob a forma de artigos, recensões críticas e notícias. Todos os artigos publicados nesta revista anual são objeto de rigorosa arbitragem científica. A RPH segue o Código de ética e Guia de Boas Práticas da Imprensa da Universidade de Coimbra.
A Revista encontra-se indexada nas seguintes plataformas: Web of Science, Latindex, Scientific Journal Impact, Dialnet, European Reference Index for the Humanities and Social Sciences e Scopus.
The Revista Portuguesa de História was created in 1941, as a scientific organ of the Instituto António de Vasconcelos, renamed, since 1975, Instituto de História Económica e Social (Institute of Economic and Social History) in the Faculty of Arts of the University of Coimbra. The RPH is strongly committed to spread the outcomes of historical research in the fields of Portuguese and World History through articles, critical reviews and news. All articles published in this annual journal have undergone a rigorous blind peer review process. The RPH follows the Code of Ethics and Good Practice Guide of the University Press. RPH is indexed in Web of Science, Latindex, Scientific Journal Impact, Dialnet, European Reference Index for the Humanities and Social Sciences e Scopus.
