We are pleased to announce that André Correia, Collaborating Researcher PhD Student at CECH - Centre for Classical and Humanistic Studies at the University of Coimbra, has been awarded 3rd place in the Isabel Maria Aguiar Branco e Silva Prize 2024. This award, promoted by the Centre for Portuguese Literature and the Eng. António de Almeida Foundation, aims to stimulate the fundamental contribution of Portuguese teachers to the construction of innovative ways of working with literature in the classroom.

"It was with great honour that I received the news that I had been awarded 3rd place in the Isabel Maria Aguiar Branco e Silva 2024 Prize for my 12th grade teaching proposal on Miguel Torga's poetry in dialogue with other arts, namely painting and music.

For me, winning this award is a sign not only that my work has been recognised, but also that literature can and should be explored as an open universe of reference in order to enrich both students' critical skills and aesthetic enjoyment. I therefore feel that the Isabel Maria Aguiar Branco e Silva Prize has made a positive mark on my career, motivating me to continue searching for paths that can reveal to students the human and creative value of literary expression."
