CfP | International Congress "Teaching Camões in the 21st Century"

Three blocks of workshops are planned to deal with the following themes:

1. Camões in primary education;

2. Camões' lyric in secondary education;

3. Camões' epic in secondary education.

The aim is for teachers interested in these themes to give a 15-minute presentation on their pedagogical experiences, proposals for a didactic approach, curricular problems or testimonies relating to practices of dissemination/interaction with Camões' work in the school context.

They should send a proposal to the email address ensinarcamoesxxi@fl.uc.pt that includes the following elements:

• Full name;
• Telephone contact;
• Identification of the recruitment group and the school/group of schools in which you teach; Theme of the workshop in which you intend to participate;
• Provisional title of the presentation;
• Summary of the presentation (c. 200-400 words).

Submission of proposals will be open until 15 June 2025, with the Scientific Committee of the congress responsible for selection. The authors of the selected proposals will be notified by the Executive Committee by 30/06/2025, at which time the procedures to be followed until the congress takes place will be defined.

For the purposes of Article 8(1) of the Legal Framework for Continuing Teacher Education, this congress will be accredited for the purposes of career progression for kindergarten teachers, primary and secondary school teachers and special education teachers.
