Publications

The history of the festival’s first decade is documented in the book FESTEA – Tema Clássico: dez anos de um festival de teatro (1999-2008) (FESTEA – Classical Theme: ten years of a theatre festival (1999-2008)). Edited by Carlos A. Martins de Jesus and Luísa de Nazaré Ferreira, this volume was published in 2010.

FESTEA's editorial body also includes countless editions of the ticket-books, editions of the theatrical and poetic works belonging to the Graeco-Roman repertoire which are shared with the audience. Many of these publications are the result of research undertaken in the fields of translation and classical philology, carried out by members of the Centre for Classical and Humanistic Studies of the University of Coimbra.
