Faculties and Departments

The University of Coimbra has 12 Education and Research Units encompassing different subject areas. The Faculties operate in accordance with their own regulations, the general laws and the Statutes of the University. They are endowed with scientific and pedagogical autonomy and develop their activities in several teaching and research units (departments, institutes, laboratories, centres, associations, etc.).
