Geoscience Students Association
The NG/AAC (Geosciences Association of the Academic Association of Coimbra) founded in 1997, represents all students of the Department of Earth Sciences encompassing the three cycles of studies in Geosciences. In addition to the integration base that this group of students represents, it also functions as a link between the student community and the Department of Earth Sciences as well as with the Academic Association of Coimbra.
Therefore, among its functions, the NG/AAC aims to promote educational, cultural and recreational events for its students. Currently, the NG/AAC represents about 170 students.
Candidaturas à licenciatura em Geologia (curso de 1.º ciclo)
- O ingresso na Licenciatura em Geologia do 1.º ciclo do Departamento de Ciências da Terra da Universidade de Coimbra é realizado através das seguintes modalidades, de acordo com a situação atual do candidato:
- Concurso Nacional de Acesso ao Ensino Superior (Contigente Geral);
- Ingresso para Maiores de 23 (Apenas para cidadãos nacionais acima dos 23 anos);
- Candidatos Internacionais (Apenas para os candidatos internacionais);

Car@ Estudante da Licenciatura em Geologia, 1.º ano, 1.ª vez
Antes de mais queremos dar-vos as boas-vindas ao Departamento de Ciências da Terra e à Universidade de Coimbra.
De modo a facilitar a vossa integração no novo percurso letivo apresentamos algumas informações uteis:
- a generalidade das disciplinas da Licenciatura em Geologia é composta por dois tipos de atividades letivas: teóricas (T) e teórico-práticas (TP)/práticas e laboratórios(PL);
- não é necessária inscrição nas turmas correspondentes às aulas teóricas (que tem apenas um horário disponível) mas é obrigatória a inscrição a partir de dia 9 de setembro nas turmas teórico-práticas/práticas e laboratórios, por serem disponibilizados vários horários em turmas com limite máximo de alunos; como exemplo para o 1.º semestre, são apresentados duas hipóteses de horários, mas outras podem ser escolhidas:

como recomendação de disciplinas optativas a frequentar no 2º semestre do 1º ano recomendamos 2 (duas) deste conjunto: Matemática Gerais II; Química Geral II; Biologia II; ou Palinologia.

Admission to the 2nd cycle of studies
Candidates who attended the 1st Cycle at the University of Coimbra will be able to apply for the 2nd cycle by registering online, at inforestud@nte, without having to apply.

Isolated Curricular Units
The University of Coimbra institutes a regime for the attendance of isolated curricular units, included in the study plans of its courses and study cycles (1st, 2nd, or 3rd cycle) as well as non-degree courses. You can consult more information here.
