| The Institute for Interdisciplinary Research of the University of Coimbra (IIIUC) celebrated its 20th anniversary on the 11th of May! IIIUC is a Research and Education unit of the University of Coimbra for the promotion of research and advanced interdisciplinary education, that encourages the crossing of knowledge and team building of different areas, in order to assure international recognition of the scientific research of the UC. | |
| The University of Coimbra (UC) welcomes on the18th of May the Vice-President of the European Commission for Inter-institutional Relations and Foresight, Maroš Šefčovič, who will talk directly with students . The event "The Future of Jobs in the Green Economy: Dialogue with Students" is part of the Conference on the Future of Europe, and will take place from 9:00-10:30am livestreamed from Colégio da Trindade (available at the University of Coimbra social media - Facebook, Instagram and Youtube. | |
| As part of the "Improve Yourself programme", developed in partnership with Randstad Portugal, the University of Coimbra joins the month of employer branding and holds on the 19th of May the webinar "Trends in employer branding"on the 19th of May. Companies may register here for the morning session and students and general community here for the afternoon session. The webinar also aims to present the study conducted annually by Randstad (Employer Brand Research), which focuses on the main characteristics of renowned employer companies. | |
The 2nd Forum organised by the EC2U Alliance will take place virtually on 19–21 May. It will be hosted by the University of Turku, and will focus on topics including social sustainability, collaboration between universities and cities, and micro-credentials/recognition of students engagement.
