From the art of Recent Prehistory to climate change during the glacial period, to practices with medicinal plants, three research projects led by the University of Coimbra (UC) have just won a total of around 900 thousand euros to study the region of the Côa Valley. Data Science will take place from the 16th to the 20th March in Coimbra, an event showing the potential of data science in modern society and stimulating synergies between fundamental research and industry. Applications for the new Doctoral Programme in Sustainable Forest Development are open until the 31st March. For the first time, a team of researchers from the Faculty of Science and Technology of the University of Coimbra (FCTUC) developed natural flocculants from eucalyptus wood residues for wastewater treatment.
