From the art of Recent Prehistory to climate change during the glacial period, to practices with medicinal plants, three research projects led by the University of Coimbra (UC) have just won a total of around 900 thousand euros to study the region of the Côa Valley.

Data Science will take place from the 16th to the 20th March in Coimbra, an event showing the potential of data science in modern society and stimulating synergies between fundamental research and industry.

Applications for the new Doctoral Programme in Sustainable Forest Development are open until the 31st March.

For the first time, a team of researchers from the Faculty of Science and Technology of the University of Coimbra (FCTUC) developed natural flocculants from eucalyptus wood residues for wastewater treatment.

As part of the celebration of  International Women's Day, the University of Coimbra Tourism will carry out a guided tour under the theme "Universidade no Feminino", making known some of the women who made part of the history of the institution.

Applications for the 2020 edition of the Eduardo Lourenço Award are already open until March 31. The prize aims to award personalities or institutions with relevant intervention in the scope of Iberian culture, citizenship and cooperation.

The concert "Esteira Cheia" takes place tomorrow at 9:30 p.m. at Gil Vicente Academic Thearte Hall.
