At 3 pm don't miss the Cycle Música e Ciência: O Tempo e os Tempos da Sagração.  The Lisbon Metropolitan Orchestra joins Professor Carlos Fiolhais for an afternoon with music and learning. Free entrance.

At 6 pm Colégio das Artes hosts the event “Le Voyage Continue”,  an interdisciplinary project involving visual arts, dance, literature and music, with the participation of professionals of different nationalities. Free entrance. Check the schedule here

The Five Stars @ UC futsal tournament will take place from 14 to 18 May, involving local companies which will participate with their teams. Registrations are open to students, teachers, researchers and technicians. The tournament final, to be held on 18 May will have the award of the QS Stars certificate to the University of Coimbra. Register your team here.

The applications deadline  to the Social Support Fund has been extended until May 15. This specific support from the University of Coimbra is a complementary meansl to the scholarships that allow sharing the tuition expenses of non-scholarship students with proven economic difficulties. The Academic Orchestra of the University of Coimbra (OAUC) is preparing a new concert. Registrations for rehearsals are already open and can be made through this online form. The show, scheduled for May 21 at 9:30 pm at the Music Conservatory of Coimbra has the musical direction of conductor Jan Wierzba.


Paulo Franchetti, professor at UNICAMP, will conduct the brief course o "Papéis Perdidos - a publicação e a docência universitária". The session takes place in the General Library of the University of Coimbra, on May 16, from 10 am to 6 pm. Registrations are now open.

Coimbra JUG, in partnership with alphaCoimbra and with the support of the University of Coimbra, will hold the JNation international technological conference on June 19 at São Francisco Convent. This is the first Portuguese conference dedicated to the programming language Java and associated technologies and will have some of the most important experts in the world.
