patioThe University of Coimbra (UC) has launched the "Heritage & Culture Helix", a digital tool fostered by the UC that aims to join and strengthen interdisciplinary and international research projects and teams in the areas of heritage and culture. 
A study carried out at the Centre for Neuroscience and Cell Biology of the University of Coimbra (CNC-UC) shows that carbamazepine, a drug used in the treatment of epilepsy, may be a promising treatment for Machado-Joseph disease. machado-joseph
