Syllabus:
Introduction to mobile robotics. Kinematic and dynamic models. Trajectory control and path following. Object detection, classification and tracking. Local navigation methods. Sensors and sensor fusion methods for mobile robotics. Navigation systems and localisation methods. Control and navigation architectures. Environment maps: grid-based and geometric maps; map building methods.
Evaluation method:
A combination of the following methods will be employed: tutorial guidance classes; seminary classes; laboratory work or field work and/or synthesis work and/or research work.
