Professor Manuel Carlos Gameiro da Silva, coordinator of the EfS Initiative, distinguished as OE advisory member

The solemn session of the National Day of the Engineer of the Order of Engineers was celebrated on November 24th in Oporto as a tribute to the Portuguese engineers. 

In his speech, Eng. Carlos Mineiro Aires assured that the Order is today a modern professional association which dedicated the year 2018 to Climate Change affairs. It was officially announced that the Order has already decided to dedicate the year 2019 to the circular economy and material efficiency. A decision supported by the Minister of the Environment, João Pedro Matos Fernandes, who also intervened in the session. 

In the commemorations of the National Engineer's Day of 2018 distinguished international entities, outstanding personalities of the Portuguese Society, and members of the Order of Engineers (OE). 

Professor Manuel Carlos Gameiro da Silva, coordinator of the EfS Initiative of the University of Coimbra, was distinguished with the professional qualification of engineer adviser.
