Let yourself be challenged!

If you consider you are concerned about our common future on the Planet, this message is for you.

The University of Coimbra’s Office for Sustainable Development is joining the challenges launched by the Energy for Sustainability Initiative, encouraging the entire community to strengthen its commitment towards sustainable development.

The Energy for Sustainability Initiative, through its Sustainable Campus Committee, has created a Google calendar that can be added by anyone using Google Calendar. It includes many dates throughout the year, as defined by the United Nations (UN) or other entities related to sustainability.

We challenge you twice:

1st challenge - This one is easy: if you use Google Calendar, add the EfS calendar.

Go to http://tinyurl.com/4baudbvz and add the calendar. Alternatively, if you don't use Google Calendar, you can access the EfS Sustainability Calendar here.

2nd challenge - Take a look at the dates on the EfS calendar and let yourself be inspired by one or more of them. Get together with colleagues and friends to organise an initiative at the UC to celebrate the date(s).

Convince a structure to join – an AAC Student Group (Núcleo), a Faculty, a Department, a Service/Unit, a Research Centre, Body, etc.

It could be a get-together, a debate, a poetry or music session, an exhibition, a volunteering activity, a parade... something that shows that the academic community is active, supportive, and humanist in favour of peace, prosperity, and sustainable development and that contributes to the Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations 2030 Agenda.
