Payment Methods

Certain processes, such as applying to UC or registering for classes, require payment of tuition, fees or other charges in order to be completed.

These payment methods are available to all UC students.

Payment through an ATM can be done at any ATM machine in Portugal (Multibanco) by selecting the "Payments" option and entering the following information:

  • Entity: unique UC identification
  • Reference: unique id for the type of payment and who it is for.
  • Amount: amount of payment in euros.

This payment method differs from the others in that - the payment details are only updated in the student's file after the University receives payment confirmation from SIBS, therefor:

  • If payment is made before 15h the student will, barring an unforeseen technical problem, be able to complete the process for which payment was made on the following business day.
  • If payment is made after 15h, the student will have to wait until the second business day.

Payments through ATM are effective imediately - after submitting payment you can immediately complete the process related to that payment.
