2025 Santander Teaching Career Incentive Scholarships

The applications for the 2025 SANTANDER TEACHING CAREER INCENTIVE SCHOLARSHIPS are currently taking place:  1st edition - applications from 14th April to 31st October 2025 until 11:59 p.m.



Number and amount of the Scholarships

1. Sixty-seven Teaching Career Incentive Scholarships will be awarded;
2. The amount of each awarded scholarship is 750 euros.

Eligibility Criteria

1. An eligibility requirement for submitting the application for this scholarship is to be registered in at least 30 ECTS credits in the 1st curricular year of one of the Master's Degree Courses in teaching in the 3rd Cycle of Basic Education and/or in Secondary Education at the University of Coimbra.
2. The applications that do not comply with the eligibility requirement will be excluded.

Note: 

1. The Scholarship that is awarded according to this Programme is cumulated with any other scholarship or support awarded by another institution/entity, including the Scholarships awarded by the Santander Foundation, provided that provisions thereof do not prevent it.

2. The awarding of Scholarships according to this Programme is allowed only for one academic year.

3. The awarding of the scholarship is conditioned on the student's registration in the 2025/2026 academic year, in the 1st curricular year of one of the Master's Degree Courses in Teaching, in the University of Coimbra.

Documents to be presented

1. Documents to be submitted at the moment of the application:

a) Annual Financial Statement, submitted to the Tax and Customs Authority, concerning the year 2023 and containing the student's tax identification number, 

or

a declaration that exempts the submission of the Annual Financial Statement of the student’s household containing the income earned during the year 2023 and Declaration that attests the household composition, issued by the Parish Council or by an equivalent entity, 

or

an Annual Financial Statement from the country where the discounts are made, concerning international students, issued by the competent authorities of the country and Declaration that attests the household composition, issued by the Parish Council or by an equivalent entity.

b) Supporting document of the tax residency issued by the competent authorities.

The application procedure for the aforementioned scholarships carried out by means of the Santander’s online platform available at www.santanderopenacademy.com/en/index.html. Simultaneously, and mandatorily, within the same application’s deadline, the application procedure takes place at the  Inforestudante platform by means of a specific request “[Alun@s] Application for the Santander Teaching Career Incentive Scholarship ". All the documents inherent in the application for the scholarship must be exclusively submitted by means of the Inforestudante platform. The non-submission of the application by means of both Platforms (Santander and InforEstudante), is a reason for exclusion.
