| The Diploma Supplement is a bilingual document (in Portuguese and in English) that complements the Diploma but does not substitute it. It enables comparability, facilitates the mobility and improves the external visibility of the qualification obtained. | |
| What does the Diploma Supplement include? |
| Pursuant to article 38 of the Decree-Law no. 42/2005, of 22nd February, the Diploma Supplement describes the Portuguese Higher Education System and its framework within the national education system at the time the diploma is awarded; characterises the institution that delivered the course and awarded the diploma; characterises the training that was carried out and its objectives; provides detailed information about the training and the results that were obtained. |
| How can you request the Diploma Supplement? |
The Diploma Supplement is a document free of charges which is mandatorily attached to the Completion Certificate. At the UC this document is digitally certified and obtained by downloading a PDF (Portable Document Format) file by means of InforEstudante. This functionality of the Academic Management Information Technology System of the UC, called NONIO, is part of the 2010 SIMPLEX’10 Programme, whose simplification measures are organised according to life events in which the relationship of the citizens with public administration may be simplified, and is included in the Measure “M023 - PERMANENT CERTIFICATE OF HIGHER EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS". | |
