How to submit a request ?

What is an (academic) request?
It is any request made in writing by a UC Student, Alumnus or Applicant concerning his/her academic pathway at the UC. (for example, awarding of ECTS credits, registration for curricular units, recognition of the student-worker status, registration for exams in the special or extraordinary examination period).
Do you have to pay anything for the requests?
No, you do not need to pay anything for the majority of the requests. At the UC, you have to pay the requests concerning application, admission to PhD Exam and appraisal of an exceptional condition. What is a request for an appraisal of an exceptional condition?
 A request is deemed to be for an appraisal of an exceptional condition or is an exceptional request when the Student (or another Requester) did not comply with the deadline established for the type of request or solicits an exception concerning what is expressly provided for in the regulation in force at the UC. This request entails the payment of a fee (which is established in the Table of Fees and other Charges of the UC).
Where can you submit your request?


For all UC Students the requests must be submitted at InforEstudante:

  1. Access the option “Requests” under “Academic Service” in the left side menu.
  2. Click “Add” and choose the type of request you want.

The request displays information that describes it, as well as a set of warnings that are useful to support the Student during its fulfilment.

For a request to be analysed, reading carefully all the information is essential. The wrong type of request or requests lacking information will be closed/archived and the Student must submit a new request adequate to what he/she wants.

Is the request submitted mandatorily by means of Inforestudante?
Yes, for UC students, in order to streamline and facilitate the requests' treatment.
What happens if you do not make the payment concerning your request?
The requests with a fee that are not paid within the 30 days following their submission will be automatically closed/archived, and the Student has to submit a new request.
You are not a UC Student at the moment. Do you have to go to the Academic Management Services and deliver your request in person?


No, you do not. The requests can be submitted by means of the Online E-mail Form | Académicos UC

However, when it is mandatory to deliver or present the original documents, you may do it in person at the Academic In-Person Assistance of the SGA operating in the Student Hub or send them by regular mail (CTT), or inform us who can do it for you.

Besides the information available on this webpage and in each of the requests, you can obtain further information at the link “Help” at InforEstudante (on the upper left side of the webpage).

You can also go to the Academic In-Person Assistance of the SGA operating in the Student Hub and use the computers available there and get support to carry out these requests.

How to follow up on the status of your request?
 

By means of your personal account at InforEstudante you may perform the following procedures:

  1. Check the list of requests and which level of the analysis process are they at.
  2. Eliminate a request until you have sealed it or until it is not being handled.
  3. Check the payment data concerning a request (if there are any).
